Commission announces €239 million available for green projects

The European Commission will give €238.86 million in 2014 to develop and implement new ways to respond to environmental challenges across Europe, focusing on nature and biodiversity conservation, resource efficiency and environmental governance and information, it said on Wednesday, launching the first call for proposals under the LIFE funding programme for environmental projects.
