Giant ‘ECI’ petition against TTIP lodged with Commission

A pan-European petition, known as the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI), calling for the EU to stop negotiations for transatlantic trade talks both with the US and Canada, was lodged with the Commission on 15 July to coincide with the sixth round of trade talks for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
