Legal Focus: EU-UK trade agreement is meagre fare for the sector

The UK has now definitively left the EU re/insurance regulatory orbit and has to be viewed as a third country for all re/insurance regulatory purposes. Just before the expiry of the transition period, the EU and the UK completed the negotiation of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. It is a good time to take stock of the effect of the UK’s definitive withdrawal and of the new Agreement.
