The self-regulatory institutions

24.1 Introduction

According to art.180 of the Insurance Law, the insurance association is a self-disciplinary organization of the insurance industry and is a social organization with legal person status. An insurance company must join the insurance industry association; while an insurance agent, insurance broker, or insurance adjusting firm may join the insurance industry association.1
