Long-term night shift work associated with heart attack risk

Working late hours is linked with irregular and fast heart rate, with women potentially at greater risk, according to a study published in the European Heart Journal carried out by researchers from China, Hong Kong, the US and Sweden who examined UK data. It found that long-term night shift work is associated with the risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) and coronary heart disease (CHD).
