Omnibus II vote delayed to October 22

The European parliament’s continued inability to put to the vote Omnibus II – draft legislation needed for Solvency II to come into effect – is tightening even further the timetable for the introduction of Solvency II, already delayed a year until January 1, 2014. The date for a vote on Omnibus II has been put back from September to October 22, 2012. A plenary vote had originally been scheduled for January this year.
