Commission set to present circular economy package
The waiting is over. One day after we went
to press, the European Commission was set to present its long awaited proposals
on the circular economy, expected to feature recycling targets of 70 per cent for
municipal waste and 80 per cent for packaging waste by 2030, but no reuse goals,
and only a prevention target for food waste.
