EP Greens accuse Commission of manipulating energy policy

Findings on which the long awaited European Commission communication on energy efficiency were based have been manipulated, leading to the Commission ignoring its own impact assessment and downgrading the energy saving target to 27 per cent, the European Parliament’s green group claimed shortly after the package was released last week.
