Piracy numbers down worldwide

The International Chamber of Commerce International Maritime Bureau’s (IMB) report for the third quarter of 2019 demonstrates fewer incidents of piracy and armed robbery against ships than the first nine months of 2018. In 2019, 119 incidents of piracy and armed robbery have been reported to the IMB Piracy Reporting Centre (IMB PRC), compared to 156 incidents for the same period in 2018.
