HSE clarifies investigation criteria for work-related stress
The Health and Safety Executive has clarified the existing criteria for the investigation of work-related stress concerns
to remove what it called “potential confusion”. It said that as awareness of work-related stress and mental ill health increases,
the amount of concerns raised with the HSE also increases, and many of these are not appropriate for the HSE or Local Authorities
(LAs). The HSE said that responding to these has resource implications, and it is hoped by making it clearer when to approach
the HSE that impact can be limited.
