Brokers address preparedness for mass liability claims events
Incidents such as the California wildfires, when 19,000 structures were destroyed due to faulty power transmission lines,
and the chemical explosion and fire at Port Neches in Texas, when 150,000 people had to be evacuated, have more recently served
as a reminder to companies, particularly those in the power and energy sector and their insurers, about the need to deal more
effectively with the avalanche of third-party liability claims which inevitably follow such events.
