HSE, CBI and TUC in joint call for safe working conditions

Employers have been urged to ensure safe working conditions during the coronavirus outbreak by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Trades Union Congress (TUC). In what the three organisations called “an unprecedented joint call,” a statement said that if companies remain open, they must take practical steps to minimise the threat of workers being exposed to the virus wherever possible – including enabling social distancing.
