R (on the application of McConnell) v Registrar General For England and Walesand Others [2020] EWCA Civ 559

This was an appeal by a transgender man and his child against the dismissal of the application for judicial review of the respondent Registrar’s decision to register him on the child’s birth certificate as the mother rather than the father, and against the making of a declaration that he was the child’s mother.
