Compliance costs could rise as FCA pushes ahead on vulnerability guidance

The FCA has moved forward with its best practice guidance for firms to do more to protect vulnerable consumers, because it believes that the coronavirus crisis has “significantly increased the number and severity of issues affecting consumers”. Although it recognises that compliance costs could increase, it says the guidance is “more relevant now than ever”.
