ARDONAGH HIT BY CYBER INCIDENT

UK-based broking and managing general agent (MGA) business Ardonagh has been hit by a ‘cyber incident’. In a statement Wednesday, Ardonagh said it was investigating a cyber incident that had caused disruption across a “limited part” of the group estate. The incident was identified as a result of routine monitoring. The group responded by taking impacted systems offline and has implemented business continuity plans in impacted business units. It is now working with third-party forensic and IT experts to manage the situation and is in the process of carrying out remedial action. Earlier this week, US broking group Arthur J Gallagher & Co revealed it had been targeted in a ransomware attack that cut the functionality of a limited number of its internal systems.
