Ireland reveals budget changes for ‘competitive’ IP regime

Country’s latest budget changes aim to make Irish tax regime ‘legitimate and sustainable’; Ireland also extends Knowledge Development Box relief scheme

Changes to Ireland’s tax rules as part of its latest budget plan would force brands to return money claimed on IP if they move their rights out of the country, or sell them on after holding them in Ireland for five years.
