Amazon sites placed on USTR’s 'notorious markets' list

Spanish, Italian and British versions of e-commerce giant ‘do not sufficiently vet sellers’ report claims; removal process described by complainants as 'lengthy and burdensome'

Amazon’s British, German, and Spanish platforms have found themselves placed on the US Trade Representative’s (USTR) 2020 Notorious Markets list, due to “high levels of counterfeit goods” on the platforms.
