BGC PARTNERS REBRANDED TO CORANT

Broking and managing general agent (MGA) group BGC Partners is to rebrand as Corant. The broking operations include Ed, Besso, Piiq Risk Partners and Junge. The MGAs include Cooper Gay, Globe Underwriting and Epsilon. These firms will continue to operate under their separate brands, with Corant as the ultimate holding company. Corant will also act as the investment vehicle for any future acquisitions for the group. “Through considerable investment, we have established a strong reputation as an expert insurance sector player with industry-changing ambitions,” Corant’s chief executive, Steve Hearn, said.
