Like many, the sub-Saharan Africa region has faced severe downturns over the last year resulting in an unprecedented economic contraction. However, as it lacked the economic headroom and financial clout of more advanced economies, the concern is sub-Saharan Africa is likely to suffer disproportionately with a slower recovery.
