Climate change and IFRS

The IASB has recently responded to requests for more guidance on how the effects of climate change should be reflected in financial statements by publishing some educational material. The document contains a table setting out references to a number of standards which contain requirements relevant to this area. This area is highly topical at present because the link between information about climate change and the financial performance and position of a company is crucial, and forms a part of the growing demand for better disclosures about climate-related matters.
