HOWDEN LAUNCHES IN SWITZERLAND

Broker Howden has launched a retail operation in Switzerland. The new subsidiary, which will be led by former Aon executive Felix Jenny, will look to build on local market expertise in Switzerland to service the group’s multinational and Swiss client base. Jenny had been chief executive of risk solutions at Aon Switzerland since 2013. The new operation follows last year’s acquisition of Iria, a political risk and credit insurance broker domiciled in Geneva. José Manuel González, chief executive of Howden Broking, said the Swiss market was “pivotal” for the broker, adding Jenny’s “deep experience and reputation in the region” will help the new operation to expand.
