Supply chains at risk of phytosanitary inspections

The Cargo Integrity Group (CIG) has made an “urgent plea” to shippers to adhere to the CTU Code (Code of Practice for Packing
of Cargo Transport Units) or face inspections that could significantly affect container shipping globally. The concern is
over the risk of invasive species “hitching rides” on cargo or in containers, TT Club risk management director Peregrine Storrs-Fox
told a webinar hosted by the International Union of Marine Insurers.
