AXA XL MAKES POLITICAL RISK SENIOR APPOINTMENTS

Axa XL Insurance has appointed Rafael Docavo-Malvezzi as global chief underwriting officer for political risk, credit and bond (PRCB) and Lian Phua as head for PRCB, Americas. Docavo-Malvezzi has been at Axa XL for a decade during which he helped build and lead the global political risk and credit team. In the new role, Docavo-Malvezzi will drive global governance, underwriting guidelines and pricing standards across all PRCB products. Based in New York, Docavo-Malvezzi will report to Stephen Ashwell, CUO for specialty risks. Also based in New York, Phua will lead the PRCB underwriting teams in New York, Washington DC, Toronto and Bermuda. Most recently, Phua held the role of underwriting manager for global PRCB.
