GREENLIGHT RE NAMES CHO AS HEAD OF INNOVATIONS UNDERWRITING

Cayman Islands-based hedge fund reinsurer Greenlight Capital Re has appointed Heejae Cho as head of innovations underwriting to oversee the underwriting the group’s growing innovations unit carries out in support of technology innovators. With more than 18 years of industry experience, Cho joins from Virdis RS, a start-up she led that utilised technology and aerial data to help insurers protect farmers by providing early warnings of pests and poor crop conditions. Prior to that, she served as an underwriter at Arch Re and also served with XL and Ace.
