HAMILTON NAMES YOUNG M&A HEAD

Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Vanessa Young as head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) insurance. In the newly created role, Young will look after the Bermudian carrier’s global M&A book of business and deliver on its growth plans. Young has joined Hamilton from Willis Towers Watson, where she most recently led the London transactional risks unit as executive director. “Her significant market knowledge, together with her proven underwriting skills and track record, will be pivotal in overseeing the immediate further build-out of our global business,” Adrian Daws, chief executive of Hamilton Managing Agency, said. Following its plans to grow the global M&A practice, Hamilton will hire more underwriters in the coming weeks.
