Rules for funeral plans unveiled as firms urged to apply “as soon as possible”

Funeralinstalment plans must result in the provision of a funeral “in almost allcircumstances on the consumer’s death”, under a  set of rules being introduced on 29 July 2022 when the FCAtakes on regulation of this sector. Firms are being encouraged to apply “assoon as possible” after September this year when the application gateway opens.
