Insurance Day
Focus: The insurance market must be as open to change as the aviation industry
Unsurprisingly, 2020 was a difficult year for the aviation industry. The abrupt halt in travel caused by the coronavirus pandemic
hit the aviation industry harder, and more deeply, than any other industry sector. Passenger figures dropped roughly 90% compared
to 2019 and airlines faced the challenge of managing their operational costs at a time when the majority of their planes were
not even in the air.
