INSURERS BULLISH ABOUT LONDON’S FUTURE POST-BREXIT AND COVID
More than two-thirds of UK insurance businesses believe London will retain its status as one of the world’s leading finance centres post-Brexit, according to a survey. Most insurance firms are significantly more confident about UK economic growth, the prospects for their sector and London’s future as an international insurance hub post-Brexit than they were 12 months ago, the Lloyds Bank financial institutions sentiment survey found. Almost three-quarters of UK insurance firms (71%) believe London will retain its status as one of the world’s leading financial and insurance centres. Insurers’ outlook for the UK economy and wider financial service sector’s prospects have improved significantly following the challenges of 2020.
