International update: August 2021

IASB

The most recent IASB meeting saw Andreas Barckow in the chair for the first time. It was also the first meeting for Bertrand Perrin, who was previously a director of accounting standards and special projects at French media group, Vivendi. The agenda included Primary Financial Statements (PFS), goodwill and impairment, maintenance and consistent application, and the Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) of aspects of accounting for financial instruments in IFRS 9 and the consolidation standards (IFRS 10–12).
