Changes in consumer preference and behaviour have transformedthe fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) industry. The FMCG sector
is undergoinga phase of powerful change due to fluctuating purchasing patterns of consumersand the development of technologies.
FMCGs are goods that are consumed almostdaily, have high turnover rates, are characterised by low prices, in additionto the
fact that the validity of these products is low, such as beverages, oils, packaged food items, detergents, cosmetics, and most
supermarketproducts. These goods also include some electronic products such as mobilephones, digital cameras, and computer
supplies. FMCGs are products that aresold quickly and at low costs. The FMCG market is one of the oldest and mostcompetitive
ones, both in terms of the level of competition and in the methodsand tools of promotion and the development of sales techniques.
The market andopportunities produced by FMCGs, are resulting in a new internationalconsumption pattern, which necessitates
a new vision towards brand protection.
