Liability for lung disorders

Hill v John Barnsley and Sons Ltd and Others [2013] EWHC 520 (QB)

In yet another successful claim involving exposure to asbestos dust, it was held that an employer had not taken reasonable precautions to avoid exposing an employee to quantities of asbestos dust as long ago as the 1960s. In the light of the knowledge expected of a reasonable employer at that time, the risk of injury should have been foreseen.
