The defendant, a Singapore ship repairer, carried out certain works on the plaintiff’s vessel Seven Champion pursuant to a crane upgrade contract (the CUA) between the defendant and the vessel’s bareboat charterer (LCS). The CUA was governed by Singapore law and contained a Singapore arbitration clause.
