This was the claim and counterclaim between the parties on apportionment of liability, following a collision between the two vessels in the Singapore Strait. Mount Apo had entered the westbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS), intending to cross it into the eastbound lane, when the collision took place. Hanjin Ras Laffan was approaching in the westbound lane, navigating to overtake another vessel.
