New look, new optimism for London office rentals
By John Sprawson, managing director, London Underwriting Centre
THE physical profile of the London market is changing fast. Newly completed developments such Swiss Re’s "Erotic Gherkin",
British Land’s Plantation Place and the proposed redevelopment of the former Lloyd’s ’58 Building at 51 Lime Street are radically
reshaping the built environment. Striking new buildings proposed at 122 Leadenhall Street (architect: Richard Rogers) and
the Minerva Tower on Houndsditch (architect: Nicholas Grimshaw) either of which would become the City’s tallest building
may continue this transformation.
