The plaintiff, who was a 14 year old schoolboy at the date of the accident, sued the defendant local authority for damages
in respect of personal injuries sustained when a small abandoned, rotting cabin cruiser fell on to the plaintiff as he lay
underneath it whilst attempting to paint and repair it.
