Negligence - Abandoned and rotting boat left in grounds of council estate - Whether trap or allurement - 14 year old boy working on boat and sustaining personal injury when boat fell on him - Whether type of injury foreseeable - Whether local authority in breach of duty under Occupiers’ Liability Act

The plaintiff, who was a 14 year old schoolboy at the date of the accident, sued the defendant local authority for damages in respect of personal injuries sustained when a small abandoned, rotting cabin cruiser fell on to the plaintiff as he lay underneath it whilst attempting to paint and repair it.
