Demurrage - Weather working time counting as laytime - Periods of rain while vessel waiting for cargo - Whether loading would have been suspended during rain periods - Whether demurrage payable in respect of vessel’s shift between loading ports
The vessel was chartered on an amended Gencon form for a voyage from two named ports to carry a cargo of logs to Israel. The
vessel arrived at the first port of call on 14 November and gave notice of readiness. After loading part of the cargo, she
shifted to the second loading port where she gave notice of readiness on 21 November. She thereafter shifted back to the first
port of call early on 4 December, where she completed loading on 8 December and sailed to Israel for discharge.
