Whether half-day holiday to count in laytime calculation

A dispute arose as to the calculation of laytime at the loading port. The owners’ time sheet showed the vessel on demurrage for almost two days while the charterers’ showed only slightly over two hours. The difference arose mainly because the charterers excluded a half-day holiday at the port from the laytime calculation. The charter-party, under the heading of laytime, provided:
