Marine insurance - Time policy covering damage by “external accidental means”

The motor yacht Miss Jay Jay was a vessel of the “Marauder” class. Above a certain speed, she would plane along the surface of the water, rather than forcing through it, as in the case of an ordinary displacement hull. The hull consisted of a single moulding and was of original design in that the plastic sandwich forming the hull had been fabricated by a vacuum process rather than being laid up by hand.
