4.01 The jurisdictional rules of the Lugano Convention

The key to correct understanding of the Lugano Convention is (as it was and is with the Brussels Convention and Brussels Regulation) to recognise that its jurisdictional rules have a natural hierarchy of application. This Chapter describes how they fit together; it is, in effect, the headnote to Chapters 5 to 19, the rest of this Part.
