The legislative framework for arbitration in Austria is set out in sections 577-618 of the Austrian Code of Civil Procedure. It applies to arbitrations commenced after July 2006 and represents a complete reform of Austrian arbitration law. Austrian arbitration law is now based on the UNCITRAL Model Law and applies to both domestic and international arbitration.
