The legislative framework for international arbitration in Russia is the Law on International Commercial Arbitration. This law is based on the UNCITRAL Model Law but, unlike the Model Law requires, the Award must always contain reasons for the decision reached and does not allow decisions to be reached ex aequo et bono.
