Oil sale contract - Whether buyers liable for failure to present vessel - Failure of other buyers in chain

In 1983 the claimant sellers agreed to sell to the respondent buyers a quantity of about 500,000 barrels of Brent Crude oil FOB Sullum Voe. The contract provided that the sellers would advise the buyers of three day loading range at least 15 days prior to the first day of the range, and that “TBN not later than five days prior to first day of the three day loading range.”
