£8mn claim for racist bullying

An engineer who claims he was subjected to racist bullying is fighting for £8mn in compensation, according to media reports. The man alleges he was driven to attempt suicide twice after being abused by a colleague at work. He says the worker openly expressed racist views and supported the British National Party. He also claims that his employer refused to let him attend a counselling appointment that had been set up by his GP. He resigned last year and is claiming £8,068,000 for constructive dismissal.
