Latest figures on MRSA and C difficile infections

The Health Protection Agency has published its latest quarterly figures on MRSA bloodstream infections and C difficile infections. The latest figures on MRSA bloodstream infections show that there were 966 cases reported in England during the January to March quarter of 2008. This represents an 11% decrease on the previous quarter (October to December 2007) when 1,088 reports were received.
