Name Change

The Society of Practitioners in Insolvency has not only changed its name but also its constitution. From 21 January it has become The Association of Business Recovery Professionals and its constitution has been changed so that its membership is no longer confined to licensed insolvency practitioners but to include those with no formal insolvency qualification but who provide a professional service. It proposes to promote itself as R3 (Rescue, Recovery and Renewal) although according to The Lawyer of 31 January its acronym has already been referred to as ‘A Burp’.
