Arogundade v Brent LBC (No 2) (Unreported 15 November CA)

The appellant applied for a stay of the execution of a warrant for the possession of her council dwelling-house on the grounds that it was her intention to appeal against an earlier order striking out her claim against the local authority and preventing her from defending the local authority’s counterclaim for possession. She submitted that her appeal would be based on the ground that she had been deprived of her right to a fair trial and that the order was excessive given that it would result in the loss of her home.
