Professional Negligence Protocol
From 16 July a pre-action protocol covers claims for professional negligence and equivalent breaches of contract or fiduciary
duty, other than claims against construction professionals and health care providers which are covered by the previously existing
pre-action protocols. A detailed letter of claim is prescribed to which the professional has three months of acknowledgement
to reply in the form of a letter of response, or a letter of settlement or both.
