Appointment of CAFCASS Officers

This practice note came into effect on 1 April 2001 and superseded the practice note of 4 December 1998 issued by the Official Solicitor in relation to representation of children in family proceedings. It explains the circumstances in which officers of CAFCASS will represent children in proceedings.
