Justice for All

The Criminal Justice White Paper is an unlikely source of Family law reform, but the Government has taken the opportunity both to make improvements to processes in family work and also to link magistrates’ courts work more closely with that in the county courts and the High Court. The proposals for the criminal court are also regarded as an opportunity to bring together the rule-making arrangements for all jurisdictions dealing with Family work. This would enable the production, over time, of a single, coherent set of Family rules.
