Wrongful removal of teenager

In Re L (a child) (Abduction: Jurisdiction) FD LSG 17 October, TLR 14 October

The father applied for an order for the immediate return to France of his 14-year-old child whom the mother had removed from France to England. Since making the application, the father had significantly failed to engage with the English proceedings which, as a consequence, had been unduly prolonged. The child objected, under art 13(b) of the convention to being returned to France.
